Travis Hill on DayOne.fan

Travis Hill is a Louisiana singer-songwriter bringing together country, blues, southern rock, and soul to create a sound he calls Cowboy Soul.

A working songwriter and musician for more than a decade, Hill stepped away from music for a time to focus on family and life. Now in his 50s, he’s back with something to say—and years of life experience behind every word.

His music is rooted in real stories: love, loss, regret, resilience, hard roads, good times, and the people who leave their mark on us. Rather than chasing a trend, Hill draws from the music that shaped him, blending the storytelling of country with the grit of blues, the attitude of southern rock, and the emotion of soul.

His current project, Cowboy Soul & Rock N Roll, captures that blend. Songs like “Losing Amy,” “California’s On My Mind,” “You Were Never Mine,” and “I Built That Road” showcase an artist who isn’t afraid to write from experience and let the imperfections become part of the story.

For Travis Hill, music isn't about pretending to have all the answers. It's about telling the truth, putting it to a melody, and giving somebody else a reason to say, “Yeah… I've been there too.”
